I’m an amateur musician and songwriter from the North East of England with a passion for recording and mixing music. I mainly focus on classic and blues based rock with a mix of original material and covers. I release music under the banner of my fictitious band called Fool’s Heaven.
I joined the TRJ community several years ago when I was relatively new to mixing and received lots of help and support to improve my skills. Several community members made tailor-made tutorial videos to help. I’ve benefited from lots of constructive feedback on my mixes, as well as direct help with things like mastering some of my tracks.
Collaboration is a big part of what we do on TRJ and I’ve worked on many tracks with other members over the years. My latest project is an attempt to cover all of the iconic Wall album by Pink Floyd. Alas, I can’t play guitar like David Gilmour but fortunately there are some members of TRJ that can who that have helped me out. Luckily we also have some excellent acoustic players, pianists and people that can programme software to replicate entire orchestras. So if you need something that you can’t do yourself for one of your recordings, it’s likely that there is someone on TRJ that can.
