Khalid Barrow

I’m a hobbyist producer from Trinidad and Tobago with a particular interest in cinematic composing. I love writing instrumental main themes appropriate for the big screen with the use of a virtual orchestra as well as real instruments. I also greatly enjoy collaborating with other members of TRJ. I find it tremendously rewarding getting people together on a project and finding ways for everyone to participate and showcase their talents. Some projects work better than others which is fine. Keeping it light and fun is the key.

Music is one of several art forms I pursue on a regular basis. As a home producer I’ve spent a great deal of time and effort learning all aspects of this craft. Within Trinidad and Tobago options are limited for building the particular skills that interest me so online community learning is a fantastic tool for helping to achieve my goals. I have access to keen and helpful people from all over the globe 24/7 thanks to TRJ.

Being a part of this community for several years provided a unique opportunity for self growth. Everyone on the forum shares the same common goal – to improve. We have a diverse range of skillsets and levels of proficiency. Helping one another is just as beneficial as receiving assistance. You don’t truly understand a concept until you’re able to explain it to someone else. In the field of music, there is no shortage of dauntingly confusing topics. Being part of a positive constructive community devoted towards helping one another makes all the difference in the world.
